Unfortunately, it is also associated with serious bleeding that can lead to hospitalization and death. Despite recent advances in our ability to use genetics to predict a patient\u2019s optimal warfarin therapeutic dose, a significant portion of patients still experience wide fluctuations in their monitoring results during long term therapy with warfarin.
